Jeezus Cripes! where did you find THIS? I wasaround 13 when this aired, but I sure as helldon't remember actually seeing it on TV. Showslike this featured a lot of up & coming acts, but never knew BB & H Co w/Janis made it on.Can you imagine the squares backstage and allthe production crew, when they saw Janis andthe boys saunter in with all that HAIR? Andthat funny smell in the dressing room. Yikes!

That was an incredible performance - Janis and the band at their best! But Don Adams ruined it by acting like a moron.

How much do you want to make a bet that in this day in age, ABC (which was the network that aired "The Hollywood Palace") wouldn't even attempt to air an artist as great as Big Brother & The Holding Company w/ Janis Joplin was. (Especially w/ it's ownership by Caps City/Disney).

Yeah, no one will can perform like Janis, NEVER, I think she is the best white singer in the world.

It's so true pauletaloca! The thing I love about Janis is that she was able to trancend the gender barrier with her powerful delivery and emotion. Guys were and still are able to relate to her as much as girls both then and now. Janis' emotional delivery was universal, unlike the female performers of today that only speak for females. There's no comparing Janis to someone like Christina Aguilara or Gwenn Stefani! There was no female performer like her before nor has there been since!

That guy...is an idiot, I'm sure Janis was strong and don't felt pissed. |
