I wrote down all of the interested I paid on credit cards last year on a dry erase board and stuck it on my desk as a reminder NOT to use those cards but then again, most of my cards are also sitting on my desk cut up in a glass bowl.

Why not do what the some people did before the national ( do not call list) send the credit card people a contract that will reduce the principal of the credit card by max of your small claims courts if you are charged a service charge or the interested goes up.

Do not call list contract was simple it could be put on a post card. Dealt with company in your small claims. It was an offer to listen to the sales call at a rate of max of the small claims court was set up to deal with. And the sales company was also reasonable for any legal cost. b

The best thing anyone can do is arm themselves with information about the credit cards, go to a good credit card comparison website and compare the rates of the credit cards, its the only way to get the best card and will save you heaps of headaches!

Stop using credit cards! Its your own money in advance AT INTEREST! Use a debit card and live within your means. I use a debit card since cards are almost necessary these days for purchases. I live completely debt free and have no worries about "interest rates". By the way, if you want that saftey cushion of "extra cash", then here is how to do it. SAVE YOUR MONEY. Why have 1000 in credit AT INTEREST when you can your own 1000 saved at 0 interest? Think people! Think!

If you use a bank your throwing your money in the trash. If you use a credit card issued by a bank your throwing your money in the trash. A credit union preform all the same services as a bank, but they are not for profit. Since they don't have the extra cost of passive ownership they have less fees, lower interest rates for loans and credit cards, and they give you more money for your deposits.
