Yes, you do. Firmware updates over WiFi are risky things - there's a reason why even Apple has you dock the iPhone to get a new firmware update.- Jason

do you have to have a dock to update your firmware?

Somehow, the hardware on the new Zunes doesn't support an EQ, and doing it in software would kill the battery quick. So there's no EQ.- Jason

Love the video...I've got all the ZUNE desktop software updates and all that jazz! I'm just wondering when the update for the ZUNE 80/120 adding an Equalizer to the Music setting comes out? I love the ZUNE, even the Windows Mobile 6.1 on my Cellphone! *LMAO* So I'm certainly a PC person awating WINDOWS 7...but I can't figure out how MS missed the Equalizer Setting on the Current Gen models???
